What is a
Home Planner?

Home Planner  /həʊm ˈplæn.ə/ (noun)

1. A professional who helps homeowners understand how their space should function
by identifying what isn’t working and what to change

2. A specialist in spatial problem-solving, bringing clarity and practical direction
to homes that feel inefficient, frustrating, or difficult to live in. Drawing on lived experience
of large scale renovations, briefing & managing trades, DIY, an eye for aesthetics

3. Someone who enables better decisions about layout, use of space, and investment
- helping to avoid wasted time, effort, and money

Ultimately resulting in a home that feels easier to live in, and right for the people in it.

What I do

I start by understanding how your space is really used, what’s not working, what’s missing, and what could work better.

Then I bring clarity and practical thinking to the areas that feel stuck, awkward, or unresolved.

Not by adding more “stuff” or overcomplicating things, but by rethinking how your space is laid out, used, and prioritised.

Why it matters

Because when a home isn’t working, it shows up everywhere
In the small daily frustrations and frictions
In the spaces that don’t quite make sense
In the constant feeling that things should be easier than they are

Because without that clarity, it’s very easy for you to:

  • waste money on changes that don’t actually improve how you live
  • keep rearranging the same problems without solving them
  • feel stuck between “we should move” and “we should fix it”

As a Home Planner I help you cut through that.  So you can make the right decisions, with confidence.

The result

A home that feels:

  • easier to live in
  • calmer and more intuitive
  • like it finally makes sense

Finally, a home that feels right

1. Home visit & understanding

I come to your home, sit down and ask some questions. Then we walk through your whole home together so I can fully understand how you use it, what’s frustrating, what’s not working

2. Ideas & suggestions

I work quickly and might suggest a lot. This might be quick fixes, ideas to work out bigger issues, or planning for big projects or even larger renovations.

3. Follow up & support

You get a clear, practical itemised list of ideas with some Pinterest inspiration images if you need them. I can also offer layout images with my PLANORA floorplan layout tool
